Below is my first set of drawings. These consist of a variety of different make up products which are produced by different brands. I started by drawing the products, then going round them with a waterproof fineliner and then used watercolour to add detail and colour to the drawings.
Here are the final pieces. I decided to use watercolour as I don't use this method often, and would like to improve my skills with it and thought it would be a creative and different way compared to colouring everything in Photoshop.
For my second page of drawings I decided to draw Topshops own range of makeup products. I decided to draw these due to their simple but colourful style being one I could use for my own products.
I then scanned these drawings into Photoshop so I could begin to edit them. I turned the document black and white and adjusted the Threshold so that I could add colour to the document.
When adding colour to the drawings, I opened the original next to the document, so I could choose similar colours and focus on what patterns have been utilised.
Below is the final piece. I have added some of my own drawings and colours and bits so to add detail and experiment with colour. I decided to use Photoshop for these drawings to use enhance my skills with using different tools to colour pieces with. Also I love colouring pieces in Photoshop as I find it easy to use and its great to experiment with.
